My research focuses on software engineering. I am a director of Software Engineering and Analysis Laboratory at UCLA. My research focuses on software engineering support for big data analytics and understanding how data scientists work in software development.
I am an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at UCLA. My research interests are broadly in systems and networking. My recent work has focused on building practical systems to improve the performance and debugging of large-scale, distributed applications for both users and developers. Prior to joining UCLA, I received a PhD from MIT.
I am an Associate Professor in the Computer Science Department of University of California, Los Angeles. My research interests range from software engineering, through programming languages and compilers, to runtime systems, operating systems, and distributed systems. I am recently interested in building scalable and performant Big Data systems.
I got my PhD degree in Institute of Computing Techonology, Chinese Academy of Science in 2018, under the supervision of Dr. Xiaobing Feng. I got my Bachelor degree in Tianjin University in 2013. My research interests span managed runtime, memory management, big data systems and emerging hardwares, such as non-volatile memory.
